One of the brightest rising stars of Antwerp. Having been around the world Haider has decided that his vocation was the fashion. In 1994 he left home to Belgium, where he studied fashion at the faculty of the Academy of Antwerp.
Haider Ackermann was born in Santa Fe de Bogota, Colombia, in 1971. During his studies he worked as an intern at the office of John Galliano. In 1998 he worked as assistant to his former teacher of the academy, Wim Neels, taking care of the collections for men and women of the Belgian designer. In 2002, Ackermann presents his first collection in Paris Autumn Winter. His creations are noble, sensual and his fashion attracts the buyers, magazine editors and the Italian Ruffo. In 2003, Ackerman was hired as chief designer and from Ruffo Research he was hired to create two collections for SpringSummer AutumnWinter 2003. In 2004 he won the prestigious Swiss Textiles Award.
