For this Spring / Summer we have decided to embark again on a journey towards luxury handcrafted eyewear that concerns more or less the designers we deal with in the fashion field. In fact, more than a new entry, we can speak of a happy return, that of Matsuda, a brand that has occupied an important part of our boutique in the past. We have always remained sensitive to his unmistakable style. Matsuda glasses are the encounter between Western deconstructivism and Eastern tradition. Since 1967, Mitsuhiro Matsuda witnessed this original and innovative design. The scrupulous attention to details, materials and workmanship always rigorously handcrafted are, from the very beginning, distinctive and unmistakable traits. Recognized all over the world as one of the first designers to blend architecture with fashion, in the 1980s his ready-to-wear creations and glasses captured worldwide interest and the name Matsuda became one of the most important brands on the international scene. . The craftsmen who created Matsuda eyewear are true master sculptors, capable of shaping precious and refined materials such as acetate, titanium, silver and gold. Suffice it to say that to obtain the acetate material an organic plastic derived from cotton is processed and matured for about 3 months. This delicate process develops extraordinarily rich colors and gives the glasses extreme strength and flexibility. Each lens, on the other hand, is made from seven layers of anti-reflective material, considerably reducing eye fatigue, eliminating unwanted reflections and polarizing them to increase their contrast.
